The cardinal prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue spoke on 7 October, at the Antonianum on “The Meeting of 27 October 1986 and the Magnifica Humanitas of Leo XIV.” The “Spirit of Assisi,” he stresses, is still alive 40 years later and tells us that the Christian response to war, and the only path to peace, is “a humanity that prays, walks together, and disarms itself first.”
